What is QuoteIron?
QuoteIron is offline-first flat-rate quoting and invoicing software for one-person trade businesses. You build a price book from 408 job templates once, price it with your own labor rate and markup, then quote any job in about 90 seconds from your phone — with or without a signal.
How much does QuoteIron cost?
$14 a month flat, or $140 a year, which is two months free. One price covers unlimited quotes, invoices, and clients, every feature included — no per-technician fees and no add-on tiers.
Is there a free trial, and do I need a credit card?
Yes. New accounts get a 14-day trial with no card required up front. You can also build a free 5-job sample of your own price book with no signup at all, using the book builder.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. QuoteIron is month-to-month with no contract, and you cancel online in one click — no phone call required. Your data exports in full any time, whether you stay or go.
Does QuoteIron work offline?
Yes, by design. QuoteIron installs to your phone's home screen and runs from your device, so it keeps working in basements, crawlspaces, and other dead zones where a browser-only tool would fail.
What trades is QuoteIron built for?
Solo tradesmen who run their business alone — electricians, plumbers, handymen, HVAC techs, pressure washers, lawn and landscaping crews, appliance repair techs, and garage door techs. The price book ships with 408 job templates across those eight trades.
How does the flat-rate price book work?
The 408 templates carry the structure of each job — typical labor hours and mid-grade parts cost. You set three numbers — your labor rate, your materials markup, and your service-call fee — and the whole book prices itself from those numbers. QuoteIron never ships fake "market rates."
Can I edit the prices, or add jobs the book doesn't cover?
Yes. Every number in every template is editable, and you can add custom line items and prices for jobs the book doesn't cover — full rewires, repipes, and other one-off work.
What languages does QuoteIron support?
The full app UI and all 408 job templates are available in English, Spanish, French (Québec), and Portuguese (Brazil) — written and reviewed by native speakers, not machine-translated.
What language do my customers see on their quotes and invoices?
Whatever you pick for that document, independent of the language you're working in. Customer documents default to English, and you can switch a single quote or invoice to Spanish, French, or Portuguese with one setting. Anything missing from a translation falls back to English, never a blank.
Is QuoteIron available on iPhone and Android?
Yes, as a progressive web app: it installs to the home screen on iOS, Android, and desktop straight from quoteiron.com, with no app-store download and no forced updates. It is not currently listed in the Apple App Store or Google Play.
Does QuoteIron process payments?
No. Every quote and invoice can list how you get paid — Zelle, Venmo, Cash App, PayPal, card, or check — but the money always moves directly between you and your customer. QuoteIron never touches it and can never hold it.
Who owns my data, and is it private?
You do. QuoteIron is local-first: your price book, clients, quotes, and invoices live on your device by default, not on QuoteIron's servers. One tap exports everything — a full JSON backup plus an income CSV — free, any time.
Is my data backed up to the cloud?
Optionally, yes, with end-to-end encryption. Your book is encrypted on your device before it ever reaches QuoteIron's servers, so QuoteIron only ever stores unreadable ciphertext, unlocked by your passkey or a recovery code. You can also skip cloud backup entirely and rely on the one-tap manual export.
How is QuoteIron different from Jobber, Housecall Pro, and similar tools?
Those are broader crew-operating platforms — scheduling, dispatch, payments, marketing — priced from about $29 a month to several hundred dollars a month, often per technician. QuoteIron is deliberately narrower: quoting and invoicing for one person, for $14 a month flat, with a build-your-own flat-rate price book neither of them offers. See the full sourced comparison table for the numbers.
Can I try the price book before I sign up for anything?
Yes. The free book builder runs a 5-job sample of your own flat-rate price book right in your browser, priced from your rates, with no signup and no account. The full 408-job book lives in the app on a 14-day trial.
