EFFECTIVE NOVEMBER 1, 2026 · UPDATED SEPTEMBER 30, 2026

Terms, without the fog.

By creating a QuoteIron account, or by using the app or this site, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you create your account on or after September 30, 2026, you accept these terms when you sign up. If you already had an account before then, these terms take effect for you on November 1, 2026.

Who these terms are between

These terms are a contract between you and 20M HODL LLC, a Florida limited liability company doing business as QuoteIron ("QuoteIron," "we," "us").

Add-on agreements you accept in the app, such as the Recurring Billing & Autopay Agreement, are part of these terms.

Who isn't a party. If you only receive, view or pay documents that a business sends you through QuoteIron, you aren't a party to these terms. Your agreement is with that business. See our notice for customers.

QuoteIron is a business tool for trade businesses in the United States. You must be at least 18 to create an account.

What QUOTEIRON is

Software that helps you build a flat-rate price book and produce estimates and invoices. You set every number. Seeded job templates are starting points, not promises about how long work takes or what it costs, so check them against your own experience before quoting from them. You are responsible for the documents you send your customers.

Who's who: QuoteIron is software, and you are the seller

QuoteIron is a software tool. It helps you:

You are the seller. Every estimate, invoice, job, service plan, recurring plan and payment is between you and your customer.

QuoteIron is not a bank or a payment company. We are not a bank, money transmitter, payment processor or payment facilitator.

You alone are responsible for:

  1. your prices, estimates, invoices and plan terms, and the work and goods you provide;
  2. how and when you bill, and every amount you charge, or ask or allow QuoteIron to charge, your customers;
  3. refunds, credits, billing questions, disputes and chargebacks with your customers, plus Stripe fees, card-network fines, reserves or negative balances on your Stripe account;
  4. collecting, reporting and paying sales, use and other taxes on your work, and your own income taxes;
  5. your licenses, permits, insurance and bonding, and any contract forms or notices that your trade or state requires (for example, home-improvement contract rules);
  6. cooling-off and home-solicitation cancellation rights, and their notices, when you sell at a customer's home or anywhere other than your place of business;
  7. following every law and rule that applies to your business and your customers. These include:
    • consumer-protection laws;
    • state automatic-renewal laws;
    • the Restore Online Shoppers' Confidence Act;
    • the Electronic Fund Transfer Act and Regulation E;
    • the E-SIGN Act, the CAN-SPAM Act and the Telephone Consumer Protection Act;
    • privacy and data-security laws;
    • card-network rules;
    • your agreement with Stripe;
  8. the accuracy of the business details you enter (business name, address, phone, email and refund choices). We show them to your customers as part of required disclosures.

This division is between you and QuoteIron. The "Limits on our liability" and "Your responsibility for claims about your business" sections explain what QuoteIron remains responsible for. That includes the notices and screens QuoteIron writes.

Not advice

Nothing in the product is legal, accounting or tax advice. That includes template hours, example prices and exports labeled for tax preparation. Talk to your professional.

QuoteIron's built-in disclosures, consent screens, notices and templates are designed to help with common legal requirements. They don't replace your own advice, and they don't guarantee that your business complies with every law that applies to it.

Your data

You can build quotes in the app without an account; sending a quote or invoice requires a free account — an email address plus a passkey or emailed sign-in link, or Sign in with Apple or Google, no password. Your business data lives on your device. Creating an account backs up an encrypted copy we physically can't read to the cloud automatically, restorable on a new device with your recovery code or passkey. You can also export the whole book to a file any time. Because your backup is encrypted with keys only you hold, losing both your device and your recovery code (with no passkey) means the backup can't be opened — we can't recover what we can't read.

Automatic reminders

With reminders on, QuoteIron reminds your customers about your open quotes and unpaid invoices on your behalf — by email on every plan, and on Pro also by text when you turn texts on for a document. How we handle their contact details is on our Privacy page. Turn reminders on only for a customer who gave you that email address or mobile number for your quotes and invoices, use them only for your own quotes and invoices and never for marketing, and turn them off for any customer who asks. Text reminders are capped at 50 a month per account; once you reach the cap, your customer's reminders continue by email until the count resets the next month.

If you get reminder texts (program: QuoteIron reminders): they come from QuoteIron's number on behalf of the business that sent you the quote or invoice, and are only about it. Message frequency varies: up to three texts about an open quote, and for an unpaid invoice, a text when it's due and then about one a week until it's paid. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help; you can also email [email protected]. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Card payments through your Stripe account

To take card payments, you connect your own Stripe account. Your use of Stripe is governed by your agreement with Stripe, which you accept with Stripe. Stripe can limit or close your Stripe account under that agreement, and we can't override it.

What you authorize QuoteIron to do on your Stripe account. Through Stripe Connect, you authorize QuoteIron to take the following actions on your Stripe account, on your behalf. We take only these actions, and only within your settings.

  1. Payment requests. Create payment requests (Stripe Checkout sessions and payment intents) for the amounts you set in QuoteIron for your estimates, invoices and deposits.
  2. Customer records. Create and update customer records on your Stripe account for customers who pay you or turn on autopay.
  3. Saved cards. Save a customer's card on your Stripe account, and charge it later, only when that customer has personally agreed on QuoteIron's autopay page, and only as the Recurring Billing & Autopay Agreement describes.
  4. Retries, cancellations, refunds and saved-card removal. Retry, cancel or refund charges, and remove saved cards, in the situations the Recurring Billing & Autopay Agreement describes. Refunds include:
    • any automatic charge made after a customer asked to stop, whether you recorded the request or the customer told QuoteIron the date they asked you;
    • any automatic charge above or outside the customer's approved terms;
    • any duplicate charge;
    • if you turn it on, a small charge that received a card-network early fraud warning.
  5. Reading account information. Read your Stripe account's settings and status that affect your customers: your statement descriptor, your support contact details, whether charges are enabled, and your account's risk settings. Also read the payment, refund, dispute and fraud-warning information we need to:
    • show you what's paid;
    • prevent double charges;
    • stop charging when something is wrong;
    • prepare dispute-evidence documents for you;
    • keep required records.
  6. Stripe notices. Receive the notices Stripe sends about payments on your Stripe account. We keep only the ones tied to payments requested through QuoteIron, and discard the rest.
  7. Messages to your customers. Send your customers receipts, notices and confirmations about these payments, on your behalf.
  8. Sharing with Stripe. Share with Stripe the information about you and your customers that Stripe needs to provide its services and meet its legal duties.

Withdrawing this authorization.

Fees. Stripe charges you its own processing fees. QuoteIron charges no fee on card payments today. If that ever changes, we'll tell you at least 30 days in advance, and the change won't apply to payments already made.

Your part:

If we learn that a connected Stripe account is being used for something illegal, fraudulent or deceptive, we may tell Stripe and cooperate with it.

QuickBooks Online integration (Pro)

You can connect your own QuickBooks Online company. Once you do, you authorize QuoteIron to create and update customers, invoices and payments in that company, and one service item for them, on your behalf and only as you choose to sync. How we handle that data is on our Privacy page.

You're responsible for your QuickBooks records and for checking what is sent. Tax and totals can differ between QuickBooks and QuoteIron, for example when QuickBooks applies its own tax settings, so review invoices in QuickBooks. QuoteIron doesn't give accounting or tax advice. QuickBooks is a trademark of Intuit, and we are not affiliated with Intuit. Your use of QuickBooks is governed by your agreement with Intuit, and Intuit's terms apply to the data once it is in QuickBooks.

Billing (QuoteIron Pro)

Subscriptions started earlier on our website. These renew at the price and period shown when you bought them, until you cancel.

Acceptable use, suspension and ending

Don't:

When we may suspend or restrict. We may suspend or restrict any feature (including card payments, reminders, automatic sending and autopay), or your whole account, if we reasonably believe that:

Some of these pauses happen automatically, when our monitoring detects the patterns described in the Recurring Billing & Autopay Agreement.

How suspension works:

Ending:

No warranties

QUOTEIRON IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED OR STATUTORY. THIS INCLUDES WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT AND ACCURACY, AND ANY WARRANTY ARISING FROM A COURSE OF DEALING OR USAGE OF TRADE.

We don't promise that:

What this section doesn't change:

Stripe, Apple, Google, and our email and text-message providers are third-party services, and we're not responsible for them. Some states don't allow certain warranties to be disclaimed. Where that's the case, this section applies as far as the law allows.

Limits on our liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS:

(1) No indirect losses. None of the following will be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, even if told such losses were possible:

The same goes for lost profits, revenue, business, goodwill or data, and for the cost of substitute services.

(2) Things we're not responsible for. We are not liable for:

This point (2) doesn't apply to the extent a loss is caused by either of these:

(3) THE CAP. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS OF EVERY KIND, COMBINED, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO QUOTEIRON OR THESE TERMS, WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF:

(4) Exceptions. Points (1) through (3) don't limit:

(5) How these limits apply. They apply to every legal theory: contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability, statute or otherwise. They apply even if a remedy fails of its essential purpose. They are a basic part of the deal: QuoteIron is priced on the understanding that these limits apply.

These limits apply only between you and QuoteIron. They don't limit what your customers, a government agency or Stripe may claim.

Your responsibility for claims about your business

(1) What you cover. You will defend, indemnify and hold harmless QuoteIron, 20M HODL LLC, and its members, managers, employees, contractors and agents (the "QuoteIron parties") against any third-party claim, demand, complaint, investigation, lawsuit or proceeding.

It applies to the extent those arise out of or relate to:

(2) What you don't cover. You don't owe us for any claim or loss to the extent it was caused by:

(3) Allegations and who pays.

(4) How a claim is handled:

(5) This section stays in force after these terms end.

Florida law and resolving disputes

PLEASE READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY. IT AFFECTS HOW DISPUTES BETWEEN YOU AND QUOTEIRON ARE RESOLVED. IT INCLUDES A CLASS-ACTION WAIVER AND A JURY-TRIAL WAIVER.

Who this covers. This section applies only to disputes between QuoteIron and account holders. It doesn't apply to your customers, who aren't parties to these terms.

Governing law. Florida law governs these terms and any dispute between you and QuoteIron, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The one exception is this arbitration agreement, which the Federal Arbitration Act governs. The law of your customers' states still governs your dealings with your customers.

1. Talk to us first. Before starting any claim, the side with the complaint must send the other side a written notice by email. If the complaint is yours, send it to [email protected]. If it's ours, we'll send it to your account email. The notice must describe the problem and the relief wanted. Both sides will try in good faith to resolve it within 30 days.

2. Small claims. Either of us may bring an individual claim in small claims court, in your county of residence or in Pinellas County, Florida, if it qualifies there and stays there.

3. Binding individual arbitration. Any other dispute arising out of or relating to QuoteIron or these terms goes to binding individual arbitration instead of court:

What stays in court. Either of us may go to court for an injunction to stop misuse of our systems or of intellectual property, or to enforce an arbitration award.

4. NO CLASS OR REPRESENTATIVE ACTIONS. YOU AND QUOTEIRON EACH BRING CLAIMS ONLY IN AN INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY, NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY CLASS, COLLECTIVE, CONSOLIDATED OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING. The arbitrator may award relief only to the individual party asking for it, and only as much as that party's own claim requires.

5. JURY WAIVER. IF A DISPUTE GOES TO COURT FOR ANY REASON, YOU AND QUOTEIRON EACH WAIVE THE RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL.

6. Your right to opt out. You can opt out of this arbitration agreement within 30 days of first accepting these terms. If you had a QuoteIron account before the effective date at the top of this page, you can opt out within 30 days of that date instead. To opt out, email [email protected] from your account email, with the subject "Arbitration opt-out" and your name.

We'll confirm by email. Opting out doesn't affect anything else in these terms.

7. Which claims. This section applies only to claims that arise after the effective date at the top of this page.

8. Time limits. Nothing in these terms shortens any statute of limitations that applies to a claim.
